University of Galway CancerSoc in collaboration with NBCRI hosted a Careers in Oncology Event where medical students got to meet with senior cancer clinicians, hear about their career pathways, and how they combine research with caring for cancer patients.
CancerSoc have been brilliant supporters of the charity, helping our at ‘Race in Pink’, ‘Swim in Pink’, ‘Walk in Pink’ and organising their own successful fundraiser, ‘Box in Pink’. It’s good to give back and encourage the doctors and researchers of the future!
The Women in STEM (WiSTEM) society at University of Galway hosted a table quiz in aid of NBCRI. Dr Roisin Dwyer, research lead, was invited to give a seminar to the society and she also hosted members of the society on a tour of our lab facilities in the Lambe Institute.
