Willie Cody is attempting a 50km Run for The National Breast Cancer Research Institute with his running buddy, Maurice Tobin on 31st March 2021 in his home town of Fermoy, Co. Cork. Willie’s mam, Maureen has recently had a reoccurrence of breast cancer after 10 years and he wants to show his solidarity with her by taking on this challenge while helping to support the work of the breast cancer research team at the Lambe Institute, NUI Galway.
Both Willie and Maurice are active members with Grange, Fermoy, Athletic Club and have ran over 20 marathons previously but they have never done a 50km one, we’re sure they’ll fly it. If you would like to support the lads on the ‘50km Running Challenge’ go to; www.idonate.ie/WillieMaurices50kmrun
