Founded in 1991, the National Breast Cancer Research Institute is a national charity that raises funds in support of world-class breast cancer research at the University of Galway. By funding this research, we aim to positively impact future outcomes for breast cancer patients. Our vision is to enhance the quality oflife and provide better outcomes for all breast cancer patients through new discoveries in prevention and cure.
As NBCRI continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing fundraising income across multiple income streams.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer. The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the NBCRI Team, under the direction of the NBCRI Director of Operations, to raise funds for breast cancer research.

The post holder will report directly to the NBCRI Director of Operations and will have regular contact with Communications & Events Coordinator, Digital Marketing Executive and the Charity’s Administrator, as well as Board Members and Chairperson. In addition, the post holder will have regular contact with the Director of the Research Programme, the Cancer Centre Manager and the research team at the Lambe Institute.
