Aideen’s Army Raise €33,200 for Breast Cancer Research

We were delighted to have Grace Quinn with her family and friends visit the research lab at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway, this week, where researchers, Dr Laura Barkley, Dr Vinitha Richard, Dr Elan McCarthy and Dr Heidi Annuk gave the group a tour of the Lab and presentations on research work currently taking place there.
Grace’s Mum, Aideen, sadly lost her fight with breast cancer earlier this year, leaving behind her Dad, Michael and her siblings Oisin, Grace, Aidan, Ruth, Louise and Hannah.
In June, Grace rallied her Mum’s friends and family to form ‘Aideen’s Army’ to take on the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon as part of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute team raising an incredible €33,200 for the charity in memory of her Mum.
Thank you so much for your support, Grace and to all the members of ‘Aidenn’s Army’ Your mum would be so proud of you all.
