Researchers of the future at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition at he RDS. Lily Hynes, Ailish O’Halloran and Shaelin Howley from the Dominican College, Taylor’s Hill Galway have entered the competition guided by their teacher, Ms Jean Carr and histopathologist, Prof Sean Hynes.
Their project is titled: Detecting Neutrophils in the Tumour Microenvironment to try to detect aggressive breast cancer and identify therapeutic effects. National Breast Cancer Research Institute were delighted to support the girls who had a visit from Hildegarde Naughton T.D. today. Good luck to all.
