A new charity was launched recently by the friends and family of a brave young woman from Tuam who died last year from Metastatic breast cancer. Charlotte Sweeney, passed away just before her 42nd birthday when the cancer in her breast spread to her liver leaving her without hope of survival. After her death, Charlotte’s friends and family wanted to provide more hope for other patients diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer so they decided to set up a new charity called ‘Charlotte’s Vision’ which was formed in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.
The first fundraising event for Charlotte’s Vision is a New Years Eve Ball in the Ard Rí House Hotel, Tuam on the 31st of December organised by her close friend and Chairperson of Charlotte’s Vision, Caroline Downey with Charlotte’s Mum, Virigie friends and family. The ball will be a beautiful evening with a drinks reception on arrival, a delicious 4-course meal and entertainment by Galway band, Pyramid and you can dance into the night with DJ Benin Tierney.
Tickets are €100 each and available online at www.charlottesvision.ie or from Ard Rí House Hotel, Tuam
