On Sunday, October 23rd, a very special fundraising event with afternoon tea and country music entertainment will be held in the g hotel in aid of Galway-based charity the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. Sponsored by Tom Doyle Motors, the fun kicks off at 3pm with a reception in the grand salon followed by an afternoon tea of delicious treats from the creative culinary team at the g Hotel in the perfect setting of their luxurious function room.
The highlight of the day will no doubt be a performance from singer-songwriter, Marc Roberts. Since he came second representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997, Marc’s career has gone from strength to strength with his most recent album ‘A tribute to the music of John Denver’ going to number one in the country charts. Marc also has his own popular weekend shows on Galway Bay FM.
The charity afternoon promises to be a real treat filled with fun, music and good food with lots prizes with raffles held throughout. Guests are sure to be lucky with a prize for each table and the evening will be complete with bluegrass tunes from local group, Take Two.
The charity would like to thank main sponsor, Tom Doyle Motors for helping to make the whole event possible. Proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute research team based at the Lambe Institute, NUI Galway.
