On Sunday, May 29th, The Lodge at Ashford Castle will once again host the highly successful Pink Afternoon supporting the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. This popular event, organised by the charity’s Galway Fundraising Committee, is one of their annual fundraisers.
Proceedings start at 12pm with a drinks reception followed by a three-course lunch. Each guest will receive a wonderful goodie bag. There will be table prizes, pop-up shops and a few surprises on the day. With The Galway Races on the horizon once again, the fun-filled day will include a Milliners Showcase, featuring headpieces by Milliners; Majella Lennon, Dalton of Crevation Design Millinery and Brid O’Driscoll.
The guest speaker this year is, X Factor star Mary Byrne. Mary will talk about her amazing life journey from Tesco checkout girl to London’s West end plus the many highs and lows she experienced along the way. Mary will also perform for the lucky guests attending.
Galway Bay FM’s, Ollie Turner will host a fundraising auction. Guests will be treated to live music into the late evening with the ‘PK Brass’.
