The charity cycle that has county’s competing against one another for all Ireland glory is back again this year. A favourite with cycling enthusiasts is also open to families, leisure cyclists and Tri Athletes with all km cycled going towards your county’s total.
Once again the event is sponsored by Zurich Insurance, this is a great fun way to get out and about cycling as many kilometres as you can between Sept 1st and 11th while helping to support breast cancer research. The cycle is open to everyone, a live leader board will track which County is winning the All Ireland Cycle and which Cycling Club is winning the All Ireland Club Cycle.
It’s all in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute a national charity that funds a comprehensive research program at the Lambe Institute NUI Galway. Currently, 1 in 7 Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 75 and there are 3,507 cases diagnosed annually which is set to continue to increase. Breast cancer research has improved the diagnosis, treatment options and outcomes for those who develop the disease and the charity fund these research programmes to help impact the outcomes for those who develop the disease in the future.
Registration is €25 and each participant will receive a commemorative cycle neck snood after the event. You also receive a link to generate your own Fundraising Page to help raise additional funds for the charity by sharing your cycling success with family or friends.
Will your county be the 2022 All Ireland Cycle champions? Only you can make it happen.
