Galway Fundraiser an All Ireland Winner

‘Swim in Pink’ in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute in association with Blackrock Beachwear has won the prestigious, Outsider Magazine ‘Best Outdoor Event 2022’ award sponsored by Sport Ireland and Salewa at a recent award ceremony in Dublin.

Pictured here are two very happy event organisers, Louise Griffin from Blackrock Beachwear and Johanna Downes, National Breast Cancer Research Institute Galway fundraising committee. Held in October to mark the end of breast cancer awareness month, the event raised over €44,000 for the charity with many swim groups around the country taking part in support of the initiative.
