Irish Association for Cancer Research AOIFA Mobility Award

Clodagh O’Neill, a second year PhD student part-funded by National Breast Cancer Research Institute was awarded the Irish Association for Cancer Research AOIFA Mobility Award at the IACR Conference in Belfast in March 2019. Clodagh will visit the laboratory of collaborator Professor Zhonglin Liu in the University of Arizona to work on imaging tumour-targeted migration of Extracellular Vesicles. Clodagh also recently published her first article on the ‘Role of Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) in Cell Stress Response and Resistance to Cancer Therapy’ in the international journal, Cancers. The paper was co-authored by Katie Gilligan and Clodagh’s mentor, Dr Róisín Dwyer.
