We are delighted to be chosen as a charity partner for this year’s ‘Kirby Way Cycle 2022’ along with Self Help Africa.
This staff initiative is raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute and Self Help Africa, bringing the Kirby Group Engineering staff together for an unforgettable experience, which they believe will leave a lasting collective legacy.
On Friday, September 2nd, leaving from Kirby Group Engineering’s headquarters in Limerick, several hundred participants will cycle first to its Galway office. On the second day, more advanced cyclists will cover the distance from Galway to Dublin. There will be many Kirby employees, their families, supply chain partners and clients, participating on day 1, while the more serious cyclists and club cycling partners will lead the challenge on day 2 of the event. The full journey will cover a distance of over 300 kilometres.
Speaking about the event, Caroline Loughnane, Chairperson at National Breast Cancer Research Institute said; “The National Breast Cancer Research Institute is honoured to be chosen by the management and staff of Kirby Group Engineering as one of their fundraising partners for this year’s ‘Kirby Way Cycle’. Your support will help our researchers work towards better breast cancer treatments, therapies and solutions to give hope and better outcomes for breast cancer patients. Thank you so much for your support and I wish all the cyclists taking part a safe and fun trip.”
