Ladies! It’s Mini Marathon Time

The National Breast Cancer Research Institute, are asking women nationwide to take part in this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon on Sunday, 5th June by joining the charity marathon team for the event. It’s the biggest women’s event of its kind in the world and you can walk, jog or run to take part and help support breast cancer research.

1 in 7 Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer with over 3,507 cases diagnosed annually. Funds raised by those taking part in the mini marathon team will go directly to support the breast cancer research team at the Lambe Institute NUI Galway, lead by Prof. Michael Kerin.

To support breast cancer research and take part in this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon you just need to follow these three steps.

STEP TWO: Once you have completed the above and signed up to take part in the event you may wish to set up a fundraising page to help raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. You can do this at our page on the JustGiving website at this link: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/nbcriwmm This will take you directly to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute fundraising page and the website will show you step by step how to create your own fundraising page so family, friends and work colleagues can make donations online to support your fundraising efforts for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.
