Representatives of the Galway Medtronic Women’s Network, Orla Sheeran, Angelika Larkin and Louise McNamara, are pictured presenting a cheque for €6,032.21 to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI). Joining them are Louise McCarron, Fundraising Manager, NBCRI; Prof. Sean Hynes, Professor of Pathology at the University of Galway; and Dr Ciara O’Neill, Postdoctoral Researcher and Senior Technical Officer in Pathology, University of Galway.
The funds were raised through Medtronic Galway’s recent ‘Walk in Pink’ fundraiser, which received outstanding support from the company’s management and staff. The donation will support NBCRI ongoing breast cancer research programme at The Lambe Institute, University of Galway.
