Mum of two little girls, Sinéad Mullins was diagnosed with breast cancer last summer and has just finished her treatment. A busy community pharmacist at her own business, Mullins Pharmacy in Salthill, Galway. Sinéad wanted to do something to support the research that made her treatment possible and reached out to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, a national charity that funds a comprehensive research programme based at the Lambe Institute, NUIG.
With COIVD restrictions curtailing so much fundraising for charities, Sinéad decided to host a virtual birthday fundraiser on Facebook and this coupled with the incredible support of customers and staff at Mullins Pharmacy she raised a fantastic €21,393. Well Done Sinéad!
